Set looks cool.  Tips are very pointy.  Binder case cover is still black but has a nicer design on it than before.  Case (or maybe it’s the plastic inserts) smell/s very plasticky, but hopefully that will fade with time.  Can’t wait to try something out on it… but what? Lots of projects I want to do, but don’t have the right yarn yet…  Just waiting for the right yarn and for a sale.  I shouldn’t splurge too much.  Should keep within reasonable budget for now.

Nearly finished with my Montego Bay Scarf (spring peach colour).  Just a bit more plaiting of fringe to go.  At first, I saw it in this yellowy pink colour, but could not find anything similar.  Then tried holding two different coloured yarns together.  At first, I was not impressed with how the colour turned out, but the colour has started to grow on me.

Need to take some pictures and get them loaded in.  Perhaps when scarf is finally finished.

Got to school fairly much on time (although I was aiming at being early… this didn’t quite happen. Will need to aim earlier to be early I guess).

Also, love those kiddie fruit ice block sticks I have stashed in our freezer. Very refreshing for both the kids after a short but hot walk home from school, and keeps them happy and quiet for a few minutes.  Great for bribes.

I’m so proud of B1. Andrew settled in very quickly and started to make friends already.  He also finished most of his morning teas and lunches.  He also hasn’t been too grumpy at home, considering he is missing his daytime nap now.  When he gets home from school, he seems to play nicely and quietly by himself… until Peter (B2) wakes up from his afternoon nap, and then all hell seems to break loose! We had a couple of time outs – one each (and one emotion explosion – not from me!), but the time outs seemed to sort them out. I think being organised for an early dinner helps, and then they have a little time after dinner to play in backyard happily together.

Haven’t done any knitting at all in last few days.  But in process of ordering a lovey new set of Knit Picks Options interchangeable needles… Yeah!  A new toy for ME!

Surprised myself again, and I didn’t cry at all when I waved goodbye.  Maybe because I was busy trying to wrestle with Peter to get him to leave and go home.  (Managed to bribe him with promise of ice-blocks and computer time and we left quietly without making a scene).

Thanks to Grandad (GungGung) who arrived with Granma (PorPor) to help look after Peter while he slept and I did the school pick up.  We ended up having dinner together, which was nice.  Good to have GG living nearby and virtually “on-call” whenever we need a little help.

Bags all packed, things all labelled.  Uniform yet to be ironed.   Lunch yet to pack.  Must remember the camera.  Will try not to be late!   Hopefully even early, as start appointment is 10:15am today.

Mum is excited too, but I will probably be clutching tissues (as well as hanging on to Peter, B2) and trying not to cry too much.

Hopefully I can get it looking nice soon, and get some pictures into it, and put in stuff about my knitting.
